Vice-Presidential Debate

The vice presidential debate really caught my interest. The mediator asked, what I believed to be, very hard hitting questions. These questions sparked much debate between the candidates which reflected not only where they stand on subjects, but also their ability to communicate their opinions and plans of action. Ryan had big ideas, but it seemed there were no true plans to back anything up. Biden held strong in his opinions, by not only providing plans but bringing with him experience. One of the most interesting questions asked occurred at the end of the debate and referenced the candidates religious values and the direct relationship that existed between it and their stance on abortion. I find it interesting that this question was even asked due to the fact that supposedly a separation is supposed to exist between church and state. Ryan's response to this question reflected his strong religious opinions that abortion is wrong. While Biden held fast to the belief that his religious views are his own and although he may believe one thing, as the Vice President of the United States, you stand for everyone and not just yourself. This vice presidential debate played out much differently than the first presidential debate, and I believe, it has set the stage for a very interesting debate to come.
